The Regency Squares Community was formed as Regency Square Area Society in 1979. RSC’s objectives are set out in its Constitution as follows:
- to pursue matters of common interest to those living and working in and around the Regency, Russell and Clarence Squares;
- to preserve and improve the character and environment in and around the Regency, Russell and Clarence Squares;
- to encourage the development of good neighbourliness amongst those living and working in and around the Regency, Russell and Clarence Squares;
- to enable those living and working in and around the Regency, Russell and Clarence Squares to contribute as a local community to the life of the wider community of Brighton as a whole.
Full membership is open to anyone who lives in and around the Regency, Russell and Clarence Squares. Others can join as associate members.
RSC is run by a committee which is elected each year at the Annual General Meeting.
