The Regency Square Area Society has been working for 40 years to foster a real sense of community by bringing together local residents and businesses to deal with the challenges of this busy area in central Brighton.

Amongst other things we organise social events to bring the community together, support our local volunteer gardening group that keeps our gardens looking so well, monitor and respond to planning applications in the area, meet with the local PCSOs to help address crime and anti-social behaviour in the area,  work with B&H Council on funding and regeneration for our three wonderful gardens in Regency, Clarence and Russell Square, organise, fund, erect and light a Christmas tree for the area each year, set up and support a number of local initiatives to improve the area, and many many many more things to make our local area as lovely a place to live and work as it can be!

The Society covers the area  bounded on the south by Kings Road, on the west by Little Preston Street, on the north by Western Road and on the east by Cannon Place. If you live or work in that area, then we represent you, so please join us - new members are always welcome!

Please explore our web site to find out more about the area and the society.

AGM Tuesday 31 March 2020 - CANCELLED

31 March 2020

Dear Members,

We are very sorry to let you know we have taken the decision to cancel the RSAS AGM due to take place on Tuesday the 31st March. We know people will be disappointed but we have outlined our reasons below.

New measures have been introduced by the Government to reduce the impact of the coronavirus infection. These include social distancing measures for older and vulnerable people, such as those with underlying health conditions. As some people who usually attend the AGM have underlying health conditions, we want to ensure we reduce any risk of illness.

The March Newsletter contains the Committee's Annual Report and the Annual Accounts which we hope you will find informative. If you have any questions please don't hesitate to get in touch with Nicola Floyd.

Unfortunately it also means we are cancelling the RSAS Raffle with its many wonderful prizes. We are hoping the generous local businesses involved will hold them over until a more suitable time. If any money is owed for tickets already purchased please also contact Nicola Floyd and it will be refunded.

Best Wishes to you all and stay healthy.

Diana Dunn (Chair,) Julie Wright (Secretary), Nicola Floyd (Treasurer)
